The aim of this three day course is to provide an in-depth knowledge of the concepts, principles and requirements of the CWA 15793 Laboratory Biorisk Management Standard.

The course teaches how to implement and maintain the biorisk management system within your organisation. This will, in turn, provide your organisation with a means for internal audit and third party certification.

During the course all aspects of the standard are addressed in detail, using exercises, cases and examples to enable a successful start for participants wanting to implement and maintain a biorisk management system in their organisation. In order to benefit fully from this course, participants are strongly encouraged to attend the one-day laboratory biorisk management foundation course prior to this in order to gain an understanding of management system principles and concepts.

Laboratory biorisk management assessment
The DNV Laboratory Biorisk Management Assessment Protocol is the basis for conducting audit and assessment activities against CWA 15793. Subsequently, DNV also use this system to help organisations with:
