DNV Business Assurance, Middle East issued its first BS25999 Certificate for eHosting Data Fort,a leading provider of Managed IT and Advisory Services and a fully owned subsidiary of TECOM Investments.

A celebration was held at the Ministry of Manpower honoring the Information System Department for getting the ISO 27001 certificate for the information security. The certification was granted by DNV Business Assurance Middle East under the patronage of Hamad bin Khamis al Amri, Under-Secretary of Manpower Ministry.
In March 2011 DNV has verified the Energy Efficiency Design Index (EEDI) for the crude oil tanker “Dar Salwa” owned by Kuwait Oil Tanker Company S.A.K. (KOTC). The ship with 318,000 DWT is the first super-large oil tanker that has received the EEDI verification statement from DNV, declaring the ship’s CO2 emission level.
