DNV addresses climate change in several ways; through its services, through its operations and through taking an active role in shaping and enhancing regulations and standards. Furthermore, DNV addresses its environmental footprint through encouraging and supporting its employees in reducing their personal environmental impact.

WE do is an environmental project that helps people working in DNV limit their personal environmental footprint – which is estimated to be larger or at least comparable to the footprint from DNV’s operations.
DNV wants to help employees act in a more environmentally friendly manner in their daily lives. To achieve this, DNV will partially finance personal environmental actions. The upper limit for 2008 was NOK 10,000 per person, per year, regardless of location. The first round of the 2009 WE do applications will open shortly.
How WE do works
All permanent employees can apply for WE do funding to help implement an environmental action plan. Funding is available worldwide, and DNV can provide up to NOK 10,000 per employee or two thirds of the cost of the action that you have selected.
The amount received is considered additional salary and therefore subject to local tax regulations.
