DNV is committed to manage and continually improve our safety, health and environmental performance with the overall goal of having no injury or occupational illnesses to people, no damage to property, and preventing pollution of the environment.

Managing Safety, Health and the Environment
DNV works to ensure a healthy and motivating working environment by building a company culture where we care for each individual employee's physical, mental and social well-being.
In order to achieve this, we will deliver a framework for contingency planning and emergency preparedness, including training of managers and employees. We work to improve the measurements of incidents, workload, sick leave, and methods for utilizing these data. In addition, we are currently working towards achieving compliance with the OHSAS 18001 (Occupational Health and Safety) standard.
Our work is never so urgent or important that we cannot take time to do it safely.
DNV’s approach to safeguarding the environment is threefold; a focus on a positive global impact on the environment through our services, continuously improving the environmental footprint of our operations, and helping our employees improve their personal environmental footprint.
