DNV informs that talks initiated with Intertek Group plc (Intertek), concerning the proposed transfer of the majority of DNV's Business Assurance Division to Intertek, have not resulted in a binding agreement and have therefore been discontinued.

DNV has decided to prioritize development of our employees and our independence. These are key value drivers for our stakeholders. We are and will continue to be an independent foundation.

DNV still wishes to take a leading position in future consolidations in the industry and will actively pursue other opportunities for acquisitions and strategic collaborations. Now, the Business Assurance Division in DNV will continue and be further developed. We will be allowed to operate more independently than in the past in order to succeed and reach our ambition to become the world leading certification body.

This means that DNV and Intertek are and will remain full competitors and you as a customer will not be affected by any change. Our best efforts will be carried out to assure continuity of first-class services to our customers and to ensure we deserve to be chosen every day from your and more and more organizations all over the world.
